Trying to be patient . . .
I"m reading about patience these days. But I"m still restless whetherpatience pays. When i was impatient, days and nights zoomed by. Now that i try to be patient, long are the days and longer are the nights. So i asked a person whether patience pays. I give you the dialogue that occurs and what It says.
Me : Does patience pay? It : Yes. Me : Will i be rewarded with what i desire? It : Should be. (smiles) Me : Don"t give me a should be. Don"t think, just feel and say yes or no. It : Yes. (smiles) Me : Do you feel my love for freedom must be undying. It : Yes. (smiles) Me : Then patience should definitely pay. It : Yes. Me : Can you promise me that. It : How can I? Me : Yes or no ? It : Yes maybe. . . (smiles) Me : So what do you reckon, I should wait till eternity ? It : Yesss. . . (smiles)
Only one word from this dialogue is fictitious. All others have actually occurred.
When patience decides to pay, I shall take no less, I shall take no more. I shall take what is mine, what I"ve longed for yore.
